Projects

HoneyTrack – An Improved Honeypot

Backend & Project Flow • Sep, 2021 — May, 2022

  • A Honeypot cum SIEM tool developed on Docker Container using Python and Bash scripting, and SIEM features using Elastic Stack.
  • I programmed a Docker script that installed HoneyTrack in less than 2 minutes. I also configured Elastic Stack on Microsoft Azure to collect logs and visualize big data. I supervised Git VCS operations for the team.
  • To test Honeytrack, we set it up live and monitored attacks for 30 days which generated 250,000+ logs. After the successful tests, the college has planned to implement this project in its incident response policy.

Accident Detection through CCTV Footage using Python

Training the Model • Feb, 2022 — Apr, 2022

  • Developed a machine learning model that classifies an image as either “Accident” or else “Non-Accident”.
  • Python modules used – Tensorflow, PIL, Numpy, Matplotlib, and Keras.
  • After training, the accuracy during the testing & validation phase ranged from 75% to 85%, and the actual mean accuracy of implementation was 82.55%.

JMan – Local Password Manager

  • Developed a Local Server Password Manager using Java and MySQL (XAMPP).
  • Implemented RSA algorithm for unlocking the master password.
  • Programmed to store passwords using the SHA-256 algorithm.
